Frost Equity Initiative's Executive Director, Ronnie Frost, Participates in Early STEM Learning Panel at the 2026 City of STEM

Last April 26 during the 2026 City of STEM at Exposition Park, Los Angeles, CA, Frost Equity Initiative’s Executive Director, Ronnie Frost, participated in the Early STEM Learning panel, where she shared insights about the importance of introducing STEM education to learners at a young age. She also discussed the mission of Frost Equity Initiative and answered questions about coding, robotics, and hands-on STEM learning.

During the discussion, Ronnie shared how she first became interested in technology after teaching herself basic programming at the age of 12 through a book she discovered. What began as self-learning eventually inspired her to pursue Computer Engineering in college and later motivated her to introduce coding and robotics opportunities to young learners through Frost Equity Initiative.

Ronnie also highlighted the benefits students gain through robotics and hands-on STEM activities, including collaboration, patience, problem-solving, and communication skills. She shared that students who participated in their robotics activities showed significant improvement in motor skills while also learning how to work together and think critically. She emphasized that in technology and many other industries, continuous learning and adaptability are essential skills.

In addition, Ronnie discussed how Frost Equity Initiative introduces students to coding, robotics, and artificial intelligence through step-by-step learning experiences connected to real-world problems. She also shared educational applications, AI tools, robotics resources, and practical tips that parents can use to help learners explore STEM concepts at home.
