It's A Different World with Dawnn Lewis' A New Day Foundation

On June 10, 2023, Frost Equity Initiative Founder Ronnie Frost had the honor of presenting awards to high school scholars with Dawnn Lewis and the Board of Directors at the A New Day Foundation’s annual Focused N F.I.T. For A Different World Conference at the University of Southern California.

Dawnn Lewis is an Emmy-nominated actress who starred as Jaleesa Vinson (later Jaleesa Vinson Taylor) on the hit show “A Different World.” This show was set on an HBCU college campus and inspired many students of color to attain a college education.

“The conference was such an inspiring and moving event. A New Day Foundation awarded over $16K in scholarships, laptops, tablets, and other swag to participants. It’s awesome to work with Dawnn, ” Ronnnie noted.
